An Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway 4300-series streetcar

Boston-based photographer. I mostly photograph public transportation, trains, and aircraft.

I take some of TransitMatters' photos, and you may see my work there on some of their reports and other media. They have specific permission to use my photos without attribution, but otherwise my work is usually under CC-BY 4.0.

I also occasionally transfer images from Flickr by others.

Current photographic goals

Stuff I'm currently trying to photograph (or find good free-licensed photos of):

• Well-lit pictures of United Airlines' A321neo, 777-200, and 787-10, in the latest livery, pointing left, and against the sky for United Airlines Fleet
• A more side-on A320 pic for American Airlines Fleet
• A sharper and higher resolution picture of Route 28 in Somerville, MA
  • Sort of  Done, though I only used it for the Somerville article and not the Route 28 article since it doesn't show the route 28 signs.
• Pictures of MBTA Commuter Rail trains with nice backgrounds
• Various pictures for List of MBTA yards, especially  Done Arborway (old), Everett (also old), and  Done Fellsway (no image)
• A better lit photo of Coolidge Corner
• A modern-day photo of Beacon Street in Boston
• A daytime image of the MWRTA Blandin Avenue hub in Framingham, MA, for the MWRTA Wikipedia article
• A non-backlit photo of Union Station in Worcester, which may be possible in the evening near the summer solstice
• File:Forest Hills station Orange Line platform April 2025.jpg but dead-on against the "Next train" sign to get a more symmetric image for Forest Hills station (MBTA)
•  Done A size comparison photo of CFexpress Type A and Type B cards for CFexpress
• A sharp picture of a catenary wire pole for Amtrak's 60Hz traction power system

Stuff I'm trying to photograph for the Commons without any particular Wikipedia article in mind:

• Well-lit pictures of MBTA subway rolling stock
• Pictures of Runway 9 take offs at Boston Logan Airport, with the Boston skyline in the background
• More pictures of aircraft with landing gears up (most pictures on the Commons are gears-down)
• Aircraft in foggy or stormy weather conditions, or with lots of wing condensation or vortices
• MBTA heritage locomotive #1129

I also take a lot of pictures opportunistically when I'm out and about.
